Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced leader to manage complex manufacturing, integration, and construction projects supporting defense programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning, integration, construction, and execution efforts.
Oversee manufacturability reviews, schedules, resource planning, staffing, and progress reporting.
Manage contractors, engineers, and technical teams throughout project lifecycles.
Coordinate with civil planners, professional engineers, and government authorities from design through testing and turnover.
Ensure safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
Present project updates to customers and senior leadership.
Travel domestically as needed (up to 50% at times).
Required Qualifications
10+ years of manufacturing, industrial, construction engineering, or operations experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, or Operations/Production Management.
Experience leading large-scale, long-duration projects.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, BOMs, and redlines.
Proficiency reviewing CAD models and drawings (SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, etc.).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and construction methods.
Defense industry or military installation experience.
U.S. Person status required.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer license.
Naval or industrial power plant experience.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
Mechanical and electrical planning experience.
Experience with PLM/PDM systems.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
