Description:Role Overview
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Reentry Operations Center. In this role, you will help drive production readiness, manufacturing execution, and operational coordination across factory teams. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams to identify risks, remove execution barriers, and support production flow and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate production readiness activities across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams
• Track readiness metrics, execution gaps, recovery actions, and production blockers
• Support production ramp efforts and operational execution across the factory
• Identify manufacturing risks and help drive recovery plans to support schedules and throughput goals
• Facilitate communication and alignment between cross-functional teams and leadership
• Monitor operational progress and help resolve issues affecting production flow
• Support execution accountability and operational coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or program execution environments
• Experience coordinating work across cross-functional teams such as engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or operations
• Experience supporting production readiness, operational execution, schedule tracking, or issue resolution activities
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
• Experience with Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs) or operational readiness activities
• Familiarity with production ramp efforts, factory recovery, or rate increases
• Understanding of work-in-process (WIP) management, production schedules, capacity constraints, or takt-driven operations
• Experience driving issue resolution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams
• Experience building or maintaining operational tracking tools, dashboards, or action plans
• Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or other high-complexity manufacturing environments
• Experience presenting operational updates or recovery plans to leadership
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives
• Active Secret security clearance

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
