What You Will Be Doing

As a member of the Estimating and Pricing organization, the Centralized Material Estimating Analyst will support the development, analysis, review, and approval of material estimates for program proposals and initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and compliant cost estimates by analyzing program requirements, developing material Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and supporting proposal activities throughout the estimating lifecycle. The position requires close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, and Program teams to develop high-quality estimates that meet established proposal standards and support successful customer engagements, audits, fact-findings, and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, analyze, review, and obtain approval of material estimates for program proposals and initiatives.

- Analyze program requirements and prepare detailed material Basis of Estimates (BOEs).

- Coordinate and support internal proposal reviews, customer audits, fact-findings, and negotiations.

- Partner with Value Stream Team personnel to develop BOEs with substantive task descriptions and sound estimating methodologies.

- Ensure estimates meet established proposal quality standards and compliance requirements.

- Collaborate extensively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, and Program organizations.

- Develop Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs) based on auditable and repeatable data that serve as reliable predictors of future work.

- Identify and analyze comparative historical data to establish valid and supportable bases of estimate.

- Develop material pricing instructions and cost estimates for detailed bills of materials.

- Interface with Program Offices, customer representatives, DCMA, and DCAA during proposal, audit, and review activities.

- Present estimating data, analyses, and recommendations to management.

- Support special projects and perform additional assignments as required.

Who You Are

You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong aptitude for cost estimating, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You excel at interpreting complex program requirements, developing accurate and defensible estimates, and utilizing data-driven methodologies to support business decisions. You are comfortable working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program teams while communicating effectively with management, customers, and government representatives. Your ability to balance technical analysis, proposal development, and stakeholder coordination enables you to contribute to high-quality estimates that support successful program execution and business growth.

**Must be a US Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance after hire. This position is available at our Fort Worth TX, Marietta GA, and Palmdale CA locations, with Fort Worth TX, being the preferred location.**

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited institution

- Experience with data analytics and analysis

- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

- Proposal cost estimator experience.

- Current Secret or Top Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $49,700 - $87,515. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $57,100 - $99,015. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
