Sr. Systems Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support solution development, implementation, and transition efforts. This role focuses on enhancing enterprise visibility, end-user services performance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solution-oriented mindset and will be responsible for deploying various tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Interact with leadership to align requirements and capability delivery.
Collaborate with operations to close operational gaps and ensure enduring capabilities post-transition.
Apply engineering principles for design and implementation, providing build guides and data flow diagrams.
Develop requirements and guide projects through a defined engineering process.
Document solutions and train system administrators on transitioned technologies.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 12 years of related enterprise IT experience is required.
Technical Skills:
Strong experience with Active Directory (AD) and related services such as GPO and DNS.
Proficiency with automation technologies, including PowerShell, Ansible Automation Platform, or DevOps pipelines.
Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), cloud technologies, and containers.
Understanding of networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, VRFs) and storage technologies.
Experience with enterprise visibility, ICAM, computer and user policies, and infrastructure (transport, compute, storage).
Knowledge of systems engineering processes, market research, and requirements analysis.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
A CISSP or IAT Level 2 certification.
Experience with Active Directory operations and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with an engineering model like the Engineering V-model.
Experience with log analysis.
