Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preparing or reviewing funding in financial systems for a Financial Management Program.
FOR THE GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Gathering financial data for a Financial Management Program.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
Possession of an LL.M., if related
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related

- You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
- You will formulate budget estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.
- You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities.
- You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and administrative operations.
- You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
- You will identify, analyze and resolve budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
