Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
OR
An LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

- You will provide direct support for the comprehensive management of environmental programs.
- You will ensure routine pickup and maintain records of waste stream generation rates.
- You will provide oversight for hazardous waste throughout NMRTC's area of responsibility, monitoring generation and accumulation rates to maintain "small quantity generator" status.
- You will assist in implementing, inspecting, and enforcing all aspects of environmental media at the hospital and clinics.
- You will provide assistance, direction, and training to military and civilian personnel on environmental compliance, proper waste handling, and sanitation standards for waste accumulation areas.

- BUMEDINST 6220.9B CH-1, requires all health care personnel who provide direct patient care in MTFs to be immunized against the seasonal influenza infection each year unless there is a documented medical or religious reason not to be immunized.

- Experience interpreting Federal, State, local, and Navy environmental regulations to manage and ensure compliance for hazardous and regulated medical waste programs.
- Experience analyzing and translating complex regulations into actionable procedures, guiding critical decisions during audits, and establishing annual command environmental goals.
- Experience utilizing safety protocols, proper segregation, and packaging techniques for potentially infectious medical waste to mitigate exposure risks for staff, patients, and the public.
- Experience conducting personnel training, liaising with regulatory inspectors, generating compliance reports, and utilizing the Environmental Management System (EMS) Web or similar for tracking and metrics.
