Position Overview JPME program management at JS J-7 requires an experienced action officer who can move taskers and accreditation actions through the Joint Staff. The Education Action Officer provides on-site JPME project and tasker support at the Pentagon and contributes expertise on the JPME accreditation process. - Provide on-site support for JPME projects and taskers, including tracking and reporting tasker responses.
- Manage organizational workflows and standard operating procedures for the JPME Branch.
- Support semi-annual Military Education Coordination Council (MECC) and Joint Leader Development Council (JLDC) working groups.
- Lead conferences, working groups, and project meetings.
- Support senior leaders, including the CJCS, with policy and position papers
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience; or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years' experience.
- Experience: Demonstrated success in seven (7) or more of the following: expert knowledge of the JPME accreditation process; prior service and joint force experience with Joint and Service PME and staff procedures (preferred); field-grade or above (or civilian equivalent) Joint Staff or similar experience; Joint Staff structure and organizational relationships; joint and combined staff organization, functions, and procedures; facilitation of conferences, working groups, and project meetings; expert support to programs and leaders at the most senior levels; and expert interpersonal communication skills.
- Security Clearance: TS (per Staffing Plan).
- Prior service and joint force experience with Joint and Service PME and staff procedures.
- Prior field-grade assignment on a Joint Staff or Service headquarters
