Job Description

Duties

  • You will perform curriculum development functions focusing on quality control/assurance and resource requirements.
  • You will be responsible for curriculum development management, which includes duties such as: monitoring the revisions, updating and/or developing training courses encompassing the selection of educational methodologies and media development.
  • You will provide technical expertise and assistance during all phases of the NETC Course Develop and Revision Process, to ensure learning solutions meet validated training requirements.
  • You will update local curriculum management databases, to track work status throughout the Center, Training Directorate and Learning Standards Office.
  • You will provide ad hoc reports relative to curriculum management.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing and evaluating curriculum components to ensure educational adequacy and compliance with applicable standards, technologies, governing instructions, acquisition requirements, and command policy; 2) Utilizing evolving software applications and AI to provide administrative oversight, technical guidance, and database management support for curriculum and content development processes; 3) Providing excellent oral and written communications to plan, coordinate, and advise on work efforts, and/or to resolve operational challenges through collaboration with leadership, instructional systems designers (ISDs), and all members of the curriculum development team working toward common objectives; 4) Analyzing source materials, curriculum products, and training data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities and recommend appropriate curriculum modifications, and 5) Utilizing knowledge of a broad range of instructional methods, training techniques, and educational technologies, including emerging developments in the field, to design, develop, and evaluate training programs and support special project initiatives.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M., that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education and the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent
