About RogueThink
RogueThink is a forward-thinking IT services provider supporting mission-critical federal and Intelligence Community programs. We deliver secure, high-impact technology solutions in classified and sensitive environments while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and technical excellence.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly responsible, experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in automated and manual testing, including hands-on UI automation and API test development. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the application through a balanced approach of automated and manual testing. The Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to validate requirements and user stories, identify defects, and promote best-in-class quality practices across the development lifecycle of the application.

Key Responsibilities
• Work with functional and development teams to identify, document, and execute test cases aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to design test coverage and select the appropriate mix of manual and automated test approaches based on risk, complexity, and release needs.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain UI automated test scripts and frameworks using Selenium, with core skills in identifying stable web elements and building resilient automated tests for dynamic user interfaces (C# preferred; comparable programming-language experience acceptable).
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain API test scripts to validate service functionality, integrations, and data flows (SoapUI preferred; similar API testing tools acceptable).
• Report, track, and verify defects, and provide clear test documentation, quality metrics, and status reporting to support stakeholder visibility and decision-making.
• Apply a strong understanding of test-automation fundamentals, including how automated tests are triggered, executed, and used within CI/CD pipelines to support regression coverage and release quality.
• Define and advance quality-engineering practices, testing standards, and consistent quality processes across scrum teams.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and maintaining UI automated tests and frameworks with Selenium, including identifying stable web elements and building resilient automated tests for dynamic user interfaces.
• Strong background in both automated and manual testing across functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Hands-on API test development (SoapUI preferred; similar tools such as Postman or REST Assured acceptable).
• Experience analyzing requirements and user stories to design test coverage and comprehensive test cases.
• Working understanding of how automated tests are executed within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to support regression and release quality.
• Experience with defect tracking and clear quality reporting and metrics.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or above.
• Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan (DMV) area and be able to work on-site in Crystal City or Rosslyn, VA as required.

Preferred Qualifications
• C# programming experience for test automation.
• SoapUI for API testing.
• Behavior-Driven Development (Cucumber) and test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or NUnit.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
• Experience supporting secure or U.S. Government environments.
