JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager will be responsible for providing proactive, technical systems integration support to fast-paced operational projects. This position is responsible for planning, monitoring and delivery of IT related customer focused projects within a large infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will benefit from knowledge of software development, systems and enterprise architecture, software engineering, data engineering/management, and general problem-solving skills. In addition to embodying a passion for continuous improvement and innovation, a successful candidate should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of operations and their relevant support.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience in:
- tailoring project management and systems engineering fundamentals in complex environments
- optimizing work processes within the operations and support functions of the systems lifecycle
- providing project support
- effectively communicating (verbally and in writing) across teams
- managing priorities across multiple teams
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
- Experience validating requirements with cross functional teams of engineer, data scientists, analysts and other senior level technical staff
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- In-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Familiarity with technologies such as Windows, Linux, NiFi, Storage, Oracle, Greenplum, Hadoop, HPCC, and Elastic Search.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development of a strategy to help define the project’s technical direction, such as by leading technical planning activities including roadmap development and systems integration
- Ensure project documentation to include inventory, licensing, procurement is kept up to date
- Leverage industry/government standards and widely accepted best practices to define processes and procedures that ensure secure and reliably functioning systems and services
- Assist in identifying and tracking of project action items, tracking and monitoring of ongoing projects and initiatives, coordination of project schedule(s), and capturing meeting minutes
- Assist the project manager with assessing, documenting, and tracking project requirements
- Collaborate with customers and project leadership to set priorities, implement tasking, and provide deliverables that are compliant with project schedules, priorities, and standards
- Collaborate with a variety of customers and contractors, which may include technical consultation, meeting coordination and support (e.g., TEMs), and preparation/support of technical briefings
