Job Description

Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.

Summary:
• Administer and support Oracle 19c databases, Data Guard, Fast-Start Failover, RMAN backup/recovery, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Perform Oracle patching, lifecycle management, and performance tuning.
• Administer Linux, shell scripting, database design, security, and data migration.
• Requires strong communication skills.

• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 10+ years
• Total Compensation: $300k+ yearly (tentative)

Job Description:
• Administer and support Oracle 19c databases in Data Guard configurations.
• Manage and maintain Oracle Data Guard using Data Guard Broker.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fast-Start Failover (FSFO) including multiple observers.
• Perform routine and emergency patching (RU/CPU), including planning, testing, and post-patch validation.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Execute and validate switchover and fail-over operations, including reinstatement of primary databases.
• Troubleshoot Data Guard issues such as transport/apply lag, archive gaps, and broker-related errors.
• Maintain backup and recovery processes using RMAN, including support for FRA and flashback features.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c on Linux (non-RAC).
• Possess proven expertise with Data Guard Broker and FSFO in multi-standby environments.
• Exhibit solid experience with Oracle patching and lifecycle management.
• Apply working knowledge of OEM for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Utilize experience with RMAN backup/recovery and Flashback Database.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Support multi-site observer configurations.
• Apply familiarity with performance tuning (AWR/ASH).
