Job Description
Supports the testing and basic troubleshooting of computer systems and software. Position also includes writing test procedures and reports, some domestic travel (1-2 weeks per year), occasional 2nd or 3rd shift testing, and performing other similar tasks to support the team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
- Performs routine software and hardware testing of computer systems using provided test tools.
- Performs routine maintenance and upgrades as required.
- Follows established test procedures and scripts to validate the performance of software and hardware.
- Reports testing failures, faults, or inconsistencies as instructed.
- Records test results, updates documentation, and assists in preparing technical reports.
- Completes all required documentation, pre and post test write ups, and correspondence with test leadership.
- Performs basic troubleshooting of software and hardware issues.
- Assists senior technicians with more complicated test scenarios and special projects.
- Complies with all operational, security, and safety guidelines and procedures.

Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience in computer system software and hardware testing and troubleshooting
- U.S. Citizenship required and the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level
- General knowledge and understanding of computers, networking, or communication systems
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to travel 1 to 2 weeks per year as required (domestic travel only)
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Windows and desktop applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military experience
- knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL)
- Understanding of personal computers and current Windows Operating Systems
- Working knowledge of Windows and desktop applications including word processing programs preferred
