JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Project Manager – Command Maintenance Evaluation and Training (COMET)
Company: Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi)
Location: USAG Camp Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, South Korea – On-site / Government-site support; travel to other U.S./ROK installations in Korea and TDY to Japan as required.
Anticipated Start Date: 28 August 2026
Clearance: Active Secret clearance required
Screening Requirement: NACI / FBI fingerprint check / CAC eligibility and applicable USFK access processing required

• This is a Key Personnel position supporting an overseas U.S. Army logistics readiness mission in Korea and Japan.

POSITION OVERVIEW
STi is seeking a Project Manager to support the Eighth Army G4 Command Maintenance Evaluation and Training (COMET) mission. This role will provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for contractor personnel supporting logistics readiness evaluations, Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP) assessments, Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) assessments, over-the-shoulder training, and formal Army logistics training across South Korea and Japan.

The ideal candidate is a senior Army logistics professional with strong maintenance and supply discipline experience, proven project management capability, and hands-on familiarity with Army readiness, sustainment, inspection, and training environments. This position is especially suited for a former or current Army logistics leader, maintenance manager, supply manager, senior NCO, warrant officer, logistics officer, COMET evaluator, or program/project manager with deep experience supporting unit readiness, inspections, and sustainment operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include:
• Serve as the Project Manager and primary coordination lead for COMET support to Eighth Army G4 and supported Army units in Korea and Japan.
• Coordinate logistics readiness evaluations, maintenance and supply assessments, Staff Assistance Visits, command/staff inspections, and related training activities.
• Facilitate briefings, meetings, teleconferences, and communications between Eighth Army G4, Government stakeholders, and contractor personnel located at multiple service locations.
• Lead and coordinate a geographically dispersed team supporting U.S. Army maintenance, supply, munitions, asset visibility, material readiness, and distribution management functions.
• Support execution of CMDP, CSDP, Organizational Inspection Program, Army Award for Maintenance Excellence, Supply Excellence Award, and related sustainment readiness programs.
• Coordinate assessment schedules, agendas, in-briefs, out-briefs, written findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure contractor deliverables, reports, evaluations, presentations, and written correspondence are accurate, timely, and suitable for Government and executive-level audiences.
• Support over-the-shoulder training and formal logistics training efforts designed to improve unit readiness and correct maintenance, supply, and property accountability shortfalls.
• Provide management oversight for personnel supporting Army maintenance management, unit supply operations, GCSS-Army analysis, equipment readiness, PMCS, property accountability, stock control, and sustainment reporting.
• Track project performance, workforce continuity, travel support, task execution, and coordination requirements across Korea-based teams and Japan TDY support.
• Identify issues, trends, systemic shortfalls, and improvement opportunities related to logistics readiness, maintenance management, supply discipline, and unit-level sustainment operations.
• Prepare quarterly reports, executive briefings, point papers, presentations, evaluations, and other written products for Government review and coordination.
• Help ensure continuity of operations during phase-in, full performance, and transition activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance required.
• Minimum 8 years of military logistics management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated proficiency in both Army maintenance and Army supply disciplines.
• Experience performing, coordinating, or managing inspections/evaluations of military maintenance and/or supply programs.
• Knowledge of GCSS-Army Logistics Information Systems, Army Readiness Common Operating Picture (AR-COP), Military Methods of Instruction, and AESIP applications.
• Strong understanding of Army logistics readiness, maintenance management, supply operations, property accountability, readiness reporting, and unit inspection programs.
• Experience supporting or managing CMDP, CSDP, OIP, Staff Assistance Visits, command inspections, or comparable Army logistics evaluation programs.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple Army units, locations, stakeholders, and contractor personnel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to brief senior leaders and write for an executive audience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand fluent English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required installation access, CAC eligibility, and applicable USFK processing requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior COMET, Eighth Army, USFK, USARPAC, USARJ, 94th AAMDC, or Korea/Japan theater logistics experience.
• Prior Army logistics leadership experience at battalion, brigade, division, sustainment command, ESC, G4/S4, SPO, maintenance, or supply support activity level.
• Experience supporting Army units in Korea, Japan, or other OCONUS environments.
• Prior experience as a Maintenance Control Officer/NCO, Supply Sergeant, Property Book Officer/NCO, Logistics Officer, 92A, 92Y, 91/94 series leader, senior logistics NCO, warrant officer, or comparable sustainment professional.
• Experience with AAME, SEA, TMDE, AOAP, warranty programs, modification work orders, PMCS, bench stock/shop stock, Class IX, OCIE, HAZMAT, FLIPL, inventory management, and property accountability.
• Experience developing inspection checklists, corrective action recommendations, SOPs, training materials, briefings, and readiness improvement plans.
• PMP, DAWIA, Lean Six Sigma, Army instructor certification, or other logistics/project management credentials preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with SOFA contractor support, OCONUS onboarding, CAC processing, and TDY coordination.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• This is an OCONUS, on-site position based at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, supporting Eighth Army G4 with coordination across Korea-based COMET teams and TDY support to Japan.
• Korea-based support may include USAG Humphreys, Camp Casey/Hovey, Camp Henry, Camp Walker, Camp Carroll, and other supported locations.
• Japan support may require TDY travel based on Government requirements.
• Standard work schedule is expected to be Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week, excluding Federal holidays or Government-directed closures.
• This position supports a high-visibility Army logistics readiness mission requiring stability, continuity, professionalism, and strong coordination with Government stakeholders.
• OCONUS assignment requirements, travel, housing allowances, and related support will be handled in accordance with contract terms and individual eligibility.
