Job Description
Light Grid is hiring a Deputy Project manager to work at Fort Lee/Fort Gregg Adams. Please note: This is an ON Site role.
The Deputy Project/Program Manager provides comprehensive task order management and program support services in support of DeCA contract operations. Primary duties include:
• Following the Task Order (TO) Management Plan that describes technical approach, resource allocation, and management controls throughout TO execution
• Regularly updating and maintaining the Task Order Management Plan as required by the contract
• Providing monthly status reports to monitor quality control, progress, and program reviews in accordance with deliverable requirements (e.g., Monthly Status Report under Deliverable A001)
• Preparing and submitting program and project-related reports and information needed to support the Cybersecurity Quality Assurance Program, including procedures for measuring work quality, data correlation, and customer outreach
• Identifying and correcting quality assurance deficiencies to improve service delivery per government guidance
• Supporting documentation of program performance metrics, tracking feedback, and participating in program reviews
• Assigning, compiling, and submitting required deliverables (including A003 and A006) as outlined in the PWS
• Provide mentoring for team leads
• De-escalate or manage employee relations issues
Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification preferred; additional certifications in Quality Assurance or Federal Program Management a plus
Minimum of 3–5 years in project management of an enterprise-level network.
• Demonstrated experience with program or project plan development, progress/status reporting, and quality assurance in a federal contracting environment
• Knowledge of federal contract management, phase-in and transition planning, and compliance deliverable tracking
• Proficiency in developing and updating management documentation and plans
• Experience analyzing program performance metrics and supporting continuous improvement
• Strong command of written/oral business communication and reporting tools
• Ability to independently manage critical contract documentation and reporting obligations
• Work collaboratively with government and internal project teams on deliverable assignments and program reviews
• Work on site at Ft Lee, VA 4-5 days a week.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; able to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document quality assurance and process improvement actions
