Job Description
Protiviti Government Services (“Protiviti” or “ProGov”), based in Alexandria, Virginia, is looking for a Public Key Infrastructure (FPKI) professional to help our clients with analysis, communications, compliance support, and coordination. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of relevant Federal policies and regulations for PKI, networking, IT systems, and security.
Job Responsibility
• Attend various federal and industry PKI meetings, working groups, and forums. Relay any updated information back to the client’s team to improve our operations.
• Maintain documents and PKI-related compliance standards (e.g., federal policies, OMB Memos, NIST SP, etc.) and industry standards (RFC, CAB Forum, etc.). Should have experience applying or analyzing policies/standards and a plus if it’s with PKI related standards. Input, analyze, and then write change proposals to maintain alignment based on new policies or standards. Also, provide recommendations on federal-wide/industry policy documents to ensure client remains aligned.
• As directed, conduct or lead special projects which consist of either business and/or technical writing on business impact from PKI or IT Security implementations, technical how-to guides, technology/policy roadmap, quarterly newsletter, and monthly/weekly status reports.
• Support various strategic planning, customer briefings, FPKI community support, document development, communications, and support of the Chief Information Officers (CIO) Council and other Government organizations on behalf of the FPKI program support.
• Provide technical and operational support of the FPKI infrastructure or infrastructure components to/from other providers or the Government as may be required.
General Knowledge & Skills:
• Translate executive-level policies into business processes.
• Analyze audit reports and PKI policies.
• Develop, update, distribute, and brief weekly and monthly status reports.
• Interview, gather, analyze, and draft business requirement documents, technical how-to guides, newsletters, and decision-based white papers and briefs.
• Experience related to HSPD-12, FIPS 201-2, and PIV or PIV-I cards
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent client relationship skills
• Must be able to handle highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner
Position Requirements:
• Must be US Citizen (no foreign nationals)
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Experience as a PKI trusted role or operating a PKI
• 15-years of demonstrated PKI policy experience
Other information: Duty stations are in Manassas, VA (2 days per week) and Alexandria, VA (remainder of workweek with some remote flexibility, with approval)
