Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our team in Doral, Florida. In this role, you will lead engineering, modernization, administration, and optimization efforts for enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments supporting Department of Defense missions. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for VMware Horizon environments, VDI lifecycle management, cybersecurity compliance, systems engineering activities, and enterprise virtualization solutions supporting mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide Tier I and Tier II customer support for Video Teleconferencing systems and services.
• Schedule conferences utilizing Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS).
• Respond to system outages and implement appropriate actions to alt-route communications and utilize failover or backup capabilities to support customer requirements.
• Conduct remote and on-site site surveys to determine requirements for new VTC installations, upgrades, and technology refresh efforts.
• Perform on-site VTC installations including endpoint configuration, equipment installation, system checkout, and operational testing.
• Assist with network device configuration and connectivity troubleshooting associated with VTC systems.
• Diagnose and resolve VTC hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with government customers, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation and operation of VTC services.
• Maintain operational documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
• Requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Required Security Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Working knowledge and understanding of IP networks and how they support Video Teleconferencing systems.
• Experience providing Tier I and Tier II customer support for VTC systems.
• Experience supporting installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of VTC equipment.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desired:
• Experience supporting a Department of Defense Combatant Command environment.
• Experience supporting organizations such as SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, or SPACECOM.
• Experience with Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS).
• Familiarity with enterprise collaboration and conferencing technologies.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
• Work to be performed on-site in Doral, Florida supporting mission requirements throughout the area of responsibility.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and stakeholders, which may involve delivering presentations and technical information.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
