Overview
The Work
The Stock Control Clerk performs inventory tracking, stock accountability, and warehouse support activities in a fast-paced logistics environment. This position maintains accurate stock records, inventory documentation, material tracking logs, and accountability records associated with equipment, supplies, and sustainment resources. The Stock Control Clerk assists with receiving, inventory reconciliation, stock counts, shelf-life tracking, and distribution coordination to ensure continuity of warehouse and sustainment operations.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain stock records, inventory files, and accountability documents for all materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Update and manage inventory documentation, material tracking logs, and related records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
- Support receipt processing activities, including verification of quantities, condition checks, and data entry into inventory systems.
- Assist with stock reconciliation and cycle counts, comparing physical counts to system records and identifying discrepancies.
- Conduct or support scheduled and unscheduled inventory counts to maintain accurate on-hand balances.
- Monitor shelf-life dates and condition of materials, initiating actions for disposition, rotation, or replenishment as required.
- Coordinate with logistics personnel, warehouse teams, and transportation staff to support timely movement, storage, and issue of materials.
- Assist in the coordination of material distribution, including staging, packaging, and documentation for outbound shipments.
- Support preparation of inventory reports, discrepancy reports, and other logistics accountability products required to track stock status and movements.
- Document and help resolve inventory discrepancies, including researching causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Follow and help implement inventory control procedures, warehouse standards, and accountability measures to maintain accurate and responsive logistics support capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with established safety, security, and handling procedures for all materials and equipment.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse work area to support accurate storage and retrieval of items.

Minimum Skills:

Working Conditions
- May involve frequent presence on the warehouse or storage floor to verify inventory, conduct cycle counts, and coordinate with logistics personnel.
- Exposure to typical warehouse conditions, including noise from material handling equipment, variable temperatures, and moving equipment, with appropriate safety controls in place.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
- Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods while performing inventory reviews, system updates, and coordination activities.
- Occasional bending, reaching, and light lifting of files, documents, and small items (typically up to 25 pounds) associated with inventory verification and audit activities.
- Frequent use of computers, keyboards, and standard office equipment for data entry, report generation, and communication.
- May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
- May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
- May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
