BAE Systems Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) business area is seeking a Principal Program Quality Engineer in the Tactical Air (TACAIR) Product Line. The role will support the EPAWSS(v)2 programs including the F-15 Japan Super Interceptor (JSI) Program, F-15 Korea Program, and Storm EW platform. As a Program Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring BAE Systems builds and delivers compliant product to our customers. Requirements flow down and compliance will play a significant part of everyday life. The role will be involved in writing Basis of Estimate, supporting proposals, Development, Production, Sustainment and/or non-recurring Engineering Programs. The role will include mentoring and leading Program Quality Engineers on development and production programs in New Hampshire. The individual will work closely with the Customer, Program Management Office, and Supplier Quality Teams along with other critical functions to provide world-class program execution. Additionally, support corrective actions using quality science tools via 8D methodology. Experience in quality will benefit you in this role.
Responsibilities in this role will include support to the production build process, First Article Inspection, as well as Quality support on non-recurring engineering efforts including hardware redesign efforts due to Diminishing Manufacturing Supply, repair/rework of Customer and Government Furnished Equipment, Environmental Stress Screening Test Program Set development.
The Program Quality Engineer will interface with the customer and the Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA) for audits, program inquiries and product acceptance. Attention to detail for hardware and documentation records play a critical part of the product acceptance process. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and collaborative program team environment is a must!
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment, and conducts quality assurance tests. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, time will be split between working onsite and between other BAE Systems locations.

Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience
- Prior experience with Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and development efforts
- Demonstrated application of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing) along with relevant industry standards (preferred: AS9100, AS9102, AS9145)
- Demonstrated participation in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Process Verification (PPV)
- Communication in a clear, concise and professional manner with multiple customers in different organizations, functions and the US Government
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including word, excel, power point
- Ability to work independently in a multi-disciplined team and lead a team with little to no oversight
- Ability to obtain security clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline
- Active security clearance
- Software Quality experience / Certified Software Quality Engineer
- Green Belt/ Black Belt certification
- Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment
- Understands the process for Basis of Estimates and proposals
- Prior experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
- Prior experience with Change Control, to ensure proper implementation and validation and implementation of design changes including hardware and software.
- Prior experience supporting Design Reviews such as System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR).
- Prior experience supporting qualification efforts such as Environmental Qualification Test (EQT) (MIL-STD-810) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) test method requirements (MIL-STD-461)
- Audit experience including ensuring compliance to Quality Management System (AS9100) and Software Quality Management System (AS9115)
- AS9145- Advanced Product Quality Program exposure
- Enjoys mentoring Quality professionals and other cross-functional team members to continuously improve execution success
