Job Description
This position is open to transitioning active-duty service members participating in the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program.

BAE Systems is offering a hands-on SkillBridge opportunity supporting the maintenance, operation, and sustainment of U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. This structured training program is designed to provide transitioning service members with practical civilian experience while building the technical skills necessary for a successful transition into the defense industry.

The selected SkillBridge participant will work alongside experienced engineering and maintenance professionals supporting radar, landing, transmitting, display, and associated electronic systems utilized in Air Traffic Control operations. Participants will receive training in system operation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, alignment procedures, technical documentation, and repair of electronic equipment.

Throughout the program, participants will gain exposure to industry best practices, technical manuals, maintenance procedures, engineering processes, and hands-on equipment operation. Training will progressively advance from familiarization and observation to supervised hands-on application and independent task execution.

This SkillBridge fellowship is intended to provide meaningful on-the-job training and professional development that supports a successful transition from military service into a civilian technical career.

SkillBridge Training Objectives:

  • Learn alignment, calibration, and system verification procedures.
  • Gain familiarity with quality, safety, and configuration management requirements.
  • Build the technical and professional skills necessary to successfully transition into a civilian Engineering Technician role.

Program Note:
