Overview
We are seeking a C++ Software Engineer to support mission-critical development efforts in a secure, fast-paced environment. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software systems used in advanced technical programs.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++
Write clean, scalable, and efficient code aligned with engineering best practices [buildstream.co]
Participate in the full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment) [coursera.org]
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues [interviewguy.com]
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, testers, and program stakeholders [buildstream.co]
Support integration, testing, and deployment of software in secure environments
Maintain documentation for software design, development, and system functionality
Required Qualifications
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) [buildstream.co]
Experience developing software using C++
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and data structures [4cornerresources.com]
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex systems
Familiarity with Linux or Windows development environments
Ability to work in a team-based, Agile or fast-paced development environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python or additional programming languages
Familiarity with distributed systems, embedded systems, or real-time applications
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
Knowledge of Agile development practices
