Senior Manager Corporate Accounting
Position Summary
Manager directs and oversees the daily financial operations of the organization, ensuring strict compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and industry-specific mandates (such as FDA and SOX controls). This role requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise, experience with complex revenue recognition, and a deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and clinical trial accounting. Manager directs and oversees the daily financial operations of the organization, ensuring strict compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and industry-specific mandates (such as FDA and SOX controls). This role requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise, experience with complex revenue recognition, and a deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and clinical trial accounting. Core Responsibilities
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Oversee the cost accounting cycle for manufacturing operations. This includes analyzing purchase price variances, tracking overhead absorption, monitoring inventory valuation, and evaluating supply chain efficiency.
- R&D and Clinical Trial Accounting: Track, allocate, and manage costs specific to clinical trials, research partnerships, and grant funding. Work closely with clinical teams to manage accruals and milestones.
- Revenue Recognition (ASC 606): Manage complex contracts and collaboration arrangements. Analyze the financial impacts of in-licensing/out-licensing transactions, royalty agreements, and milestones to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- SEC Reporting & SOX Compliance: Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial filings (10-Q and 10-K). Maintain, document, and enforce internal Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls to ensure flawless audit readiness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with FP&A, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Legal teams to align actual financial data with budgeting and forecasting models.
