Description:The Aircraft Electrician III is part of the Lockheed Martin modification team at Bob Sikes Airport in Crestview, Florida, and will provide subject matter expertise with installing and modifying aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
The Aircraft Electrician III will need to have a strong understanding of C-130 aircraft and will be responsible for all electrical modification and installation efforts. The Aircraft Electrician III will provide guidance and expertise to the other electrical technicians on installing/modifying electrical harnesses/components, routing wire/cable assemblies, terminating wire/cable assemblies and testing wire/cable assemblies on C-130J aircraft. The qualified applicant will coordinate with supervision to resolve any technical problems that may arise during the modification.
The applicant must have the experience and ability to perform the following: Read/comprehend complex electrical drawings, troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solutions in accordance with company policy, procedures and specifications.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Ten (10) years of aircraft electrical/avionics experience performing aircraft electrical systems installations and modifications.
Minimum Five (5) years of electrical/avionics modification experience on C-130J platforms.
Strong aptitude to read and interpret complex aircraft electrical drawings - Blueprints, TCTO's, Supplemental Work Instructions, Service Bulletins, Installation Drawings, ETC.
Experience with installation and removal of specialized wires, harnesses, and cable assemblies such as: Fiber Optics, 1553 Data Bus, RF Cables, Twinax/Triax/Quadrax Cables, and Ethernet Cables.
Experience terminating specialized contacts, coaxial connectors, ferrules, terminals, end caps, and splices.
Able to perform with demands of precise set specifications, tolerances, or standards.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance and must have an interim secret clearance prior to start so therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Extensive installation and modification of aircraft electrical systems experience to include C-130 aircraft.
Experience as an electrical or avionics lead preferred.
Experience leading small teams and tracking performance to cost, schedule, and quality.
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to perform confined space entry.
Ability to use critical thinking skills to assist with applying lean methodologies applied to critical tasks.
Ability to assist engineering with drawing and supplemental work instruction-development and improvement.
Ability to communicate through Performance Management Teams - deficiencies and areas of improvement.
Ability to foster a culture of safety in every aspect of performance.
