THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 4 Project Engineer with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance to work from our Longmont, CO location.
As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) for a large-scale Agile Release Train (ART), you will facilitate program execution for the Next Gen GEO (NGG) OPIR Ground Segment, managing cross-team dependencies, and enabling delivery of mission-critical capabilities.
Partner with Product Teams and Scrum teams, Technical Directorate, and Program Management, to drive Agile planning, execution, risk management, and continuous improvement across the program.
Lead Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, Planning kickoffs and outbriefs, Retrospectives, and other forums that promote alignment, transparency, and predictable delivery.
Develop, maintain, and communicate Agile program metrics and performance indicators using Jira to provide insight to Program Management, engineering leadership, customers, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, have strong interpersonal skills, have initiative, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, and enjoy a fast paced, dynamic environment.
No security clearance is required prior to start but must have the must have the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance
This is an MID-SENIOR CAREER (level 4) ROLE where candidates typically require 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience leading or coordinating complex technical programs, projects, Agile teams, or cross-functional engineering efforts.
Demonstrated experience in Agile development methodologies and frameworks (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
Experience facilitating collaboration among engineering, program management, and other stakeholder organizations.
Demonstrated ability to identify, track, and resolve program risks, issues, and dependencies.
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
Desired Skills:
Past or current experience as a Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Product Manager or similar leadership role within an Agile environment.
SAFe certifications such as RTE, Scrum Master, or Product Owner/Product Manager.
Experience with and the application of Agile lifecycle management tools such as Jira and Confluence, and integration with program planning/scheduling processes.
Demonstrated understanding of EVM (Earned Value Management) and experience aligning Agile execution with program EVM and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) baseline & forecast.
Experience supporting development and delivery of software-intensive, systems engineering, or integrated hardware/software solutions.
Active Secret Clearance or higher.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
