The Work
The Lockheed Martin Inventory/Materials Asset Specialist position is accountable for the end-to-end control, accountability, and distribution of maintenance-support parts stored in a dedicated stockroom that services facilities maintenance, utility systems, and customer requests. The role ensures that all parts are stocked, cataloged, and released in compliance with Lockheed Martin policies and applicable export-control regulations. This position directly supports operational readiness, reduces downtime, and drives cost-effective inventory stewardship.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Stock Management: Order, receive, inspect, label, and store incoming maintenance parts (including repairable items) per LM Materials Management Handbook and DLA/AFI guidelines.
Cycle Count & Physical Inventory: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly counts; reconcile discrepancies; initiate investigations and corrective actions.
Material Issue & Re-issue: Process part issue requests from maintenance teams. Maintain accurate logs and transaction history in the inventory system.
Re-order & Replenishment: Establish reorder points, min-max stock levels, generate purchase requisitions and coordinate with suppliers/warehouse partners.
Data Governance: Ensure part numbers, nomenclature, and status are accurately reflected.
Audit & Compliance Support: Maintain traceability documentation for all material movements; support internal and external audits.

Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
≥ 3 years of experience managing an inventory, inventory control, material planning or a similarly regulated environment.
Experience with Office 365, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
Knowledge of maintenance management system (CMMS)
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift 25 pounds with or without accommodation
Desired Skills:
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated, dependable, maintains a positive attitude, and willing to be a responsible & dedicated team Player.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as with minimal supervision.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
