Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: develop, implement and provide oversight for a comprehensive inspection and monitoring program required to ensure timely identification, evaluation and correction of violations of environmental regulations to include the coordination and liaison of solid waste services.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the GS-11 position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

- You will manages the storage, collection, identification, transportation and disposal of Hazardous Waste aboard the installation to include tenant commands.
- You will maintain liaison and provide technical assistance as required to HW generators.
- You will set environmental audit and oversight policy, maintaining a consistent approach for carrying out inspections and advisory activities.
- You will design specific environmental compliance audits, directs technicians and collateral duty personnel in conducting audits, and tracks results with statistical methods consistent with principles of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- You will maintain an updated knowledge of frequently-changing, complex policies, technologies and regulations as they pertain to hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and pollution prevention.
- You will recommend process and procedure modification to incorporate revised requirements.
- You will be responsible for the installations waste minimization program and, as such administers a comprehensive program to minimize the volumes and toxicity of HW generated.
