Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and administering comprehensive safety and occupational health programs within complex, high-risk training environments while overseeing specialized areas such as explosives, laser, and high-risk training safety; and conducting detailed inspections, performing accident investigations, and implementing risk mitigation policies to ensure compliance during dynamic operations like diving, maritime, and live-fire evolutions.

- You will prepare overarching safety policy guidance for the command and its component command in response to mandated directives.
- You will assess component commands administrative and operational HRTS programs for compliance with DoD, OPNAV, USSOCOM, COMNAVSPECWARCOM, COMNAVSPECWARCEN, and host installation safety directives.
- You will conduct and/or provide subject matter expert advice for mishap investigations in accordance with regulations and identifies corrective actions to minimize severity or eliminate future causes.
- You will develop and manage Safety Program Department OPTAR and TADTAR budget. Represents COMNAVSPECWARCEN during Host Installation Planning Charrettes, USSOCOM, COMNAVSPECWARCOM meetings, briefings, conferences, etc.
- You will assures complete integration of safety programs and any other factors influential to high-risk training and the workplace environment.
- You will plans, organizes, executes, and manages inspections of AA and E explosives storage buildings, intentional detonation sites and laser ranges for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- You will performance of supervisors and employees in day-to-day workplace environments; evaluates the performance of each supervisor with respect to a broad spectrum of performance training and non-training indicators.
