Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. This role is critical to the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems that support our mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of next-generation systems and infrastructure
• Oversee system integration and ensure seamless operation across multiple platforms
• Develop and implement system security protocols to protect sensitive data
• Collaborate with software engineers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Conduct technical assessments and identify areas for optimization and enhancement
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Expertise in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancers
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI integration in systems design
• Familiarity with big data technologies and analytics platforms
