Job Description
The Test Specialist/Engineer is responsible for providing direct support to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in Test and Evaluation (T&E) support for CDLMS, C2P TR and C2P MOD baselines and associated Host Combat System (HCS) integrations across lab, fleet, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) environments. They will play a supporting role in achieving the organization's goals by providing C2P subject matter expertise in the coordination, execution, analysis and reporting of test anomalies in a controlled testing environment. This position will directly impact through US Navy mission and operational readiness through the test and evaluation of major program baselines to support program acquisition milestone decisions.
CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES
Ability to perform the following independently:
Set up, operate, and tear down the test architecture of various systems CDLMS, C2P and sub-systems.
Generate requirement results and test requirement traceability in support of test report documentation.
Execute test procedures, analysis of test results, and generate final test documentation.
Participate in the development of Test Plans and Test Procedures. This includes identifying test objectives and determining methods of evaluation.
Apply standard troubleshooting techniques and utilize common data analysis tools to support the validation, root-cause and troubleshooting of issues observed or documented during testing.
Generate test scripts within systems to support execution of test procedures.
Participate in generating required test reports and/or Trouble Report Retest Status (TRRS) and provide to the Project Lead.
Participate in identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues (bugs/TRs), as needed.
Participate in data collection, preliminary data analysis, data removal, data transfer, provide any data analysis information for Test Observation Reports (TORs), and reach back support, as needed.
Periodically stand-in as Event Lead to support during testing or may lead a small team.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum of three (3) years and has a deep understanding of/or experience with:
Common terminology within the scope of the program. This includes accurately utilizing terminology while communicating verbally or written.
Data Analysis Tools (preferred: DART, EDART, WDART, CDART, Filezilla, PowerShell, Windows OS, and/or Linux OS)
Tactical Data Link (TDL) communications standards and protocols
Test and Evaluation Methodologies
Technical Writing
Troubleshooting
Standard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, U.S. Military Communication Systems and associated interfaces and computer control equipment, preferred.
Data collection and plan development, to support analysis objectives. This includes the development of data logs, matrix's and tables to support in assessing the effort.
Two (2) to three (3) years' experience with US Navy Combat Systems in at least one aspect (I.e., design, development, integration, operation, test, analysis, etc.), desired
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
GED and/or equivalent years of experience
Bachelor of Science in STEM is Preferred

PAY RANGE
$100,000.00 to $ $125,000.00 annually, DOE
U.S. Citizenship is Required
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
