Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Deployment Specialist to support deployed USMC units by providing network engineering, deployment planning, and on-site technical support. This role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure in operational environments while supporting mission readiness before, during, and after deployments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on networking experience and thrives in fast-paced, field-based environments.

Work Environment:

Clearance Requirement:
- Active Secret security clearance required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide layer 2-3 routing and switching support to networks.
- Provide technical support for deployed network environments including routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange systems.
- Assist in planning and executing network deployments and operational exercises.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues during live deployments to ensure mission continuity.
- Support configuration, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software in field environments.
- Assist with Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed personnel.
- Support the D-30 deployment preparation process including planning, coordination, and execution tasks.
- Identify required hardware and software to support operational requirements.
- Coordinate logistics including transportation of equipment, foreign clearance requests, visas, and import permits.
- Document deployment activities and outcomes and participate in post-deployment reviews.
- Coordinate return and inventory of unused or reusable equipment.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure successful mission execution.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 4+ years of experience providing network support in operational or deployed environments.
- Strong experience with networking technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, and enterprise services.
- Experience supporting Microsoft and/or Cisco environments.
- Ability to work independently in field environments and adapt to changing mission requirements.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Certifications & Requirements:
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
- OEM network certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is preferred.
- Operating system or application certification (e.g., Microsoft or Cisco).
- Valid U.S. passport or ability to obtain one (for travel requirements).
Compensation:
- Pay range: $60,000 - $66,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
