Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking an Executive Operations & Board Affairs Manager to support a leading organization within the biotechnology and life sciences industry for a permanent position based out of Silver Spring, MD. The Executive Operations & Board Affairs Manager will act as a key partner to executive leadership, ensuring efficient coordination of board governance activities, executive operations, and high-level administrative functions in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Responsibilities of the Executive Operations & Board Affairs Manager include:
· Oversee planning and execution of Board of Directors activities including scheduling, logistics, and governance timelines.
· Manage preparation and distribution of board materials through governance platforms while maintaining official records and documentation.
· Coordinate complex travel arrangements and itineraries for executives, board members, and advisory groups.
· Support executive-level operations by managing calendars, communications, and confidential documentation.
· Partner cross-functionally with legal, security, and leadership teams to support governance processes and special initiatives.
Qualifications for the Executive Operations & Board Affairs Manager include:
· 5+ years of experience supporting corporate boards or governance bodies within large organizations.
· 5+ years of experience providing high-level executive administrative support.
· Hands-on experience with board management tools such as Diligent or similar platforms.
· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage sensitive information.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience coordinating executive travel and logistics.
Compensation for the Executive Operations & Board Affairs Manager:
Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000/year (USD)
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
