Are you driven to solve complex technical challenges that directly support national security missions? Join us as a Partner Solutions Architect, where you'll leverage your deep technical expertise and understanding of defense systems to help leading global aerospace and defense organizations architect mission-critical solutions on AWS.
In this role, you'll work directly with major defense industrial base contractors, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the US Intelligence Community (IC) to architect and enable the implementation of innovative cloud solutions while ensuring technical excellence, security compliance, and mission success. You'll work with teams to deliver proof-of-concept projects, lead workshops, and guide transformative initiatives. You'll also have the chance to collaborate across the entire AWS organization, bringing access to product and service teams in order to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected candidate will be on-site alongside our partners and must live within (or be willing to relocate to) the metropolitan Los Angeles area.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable AWS architectures for mission-critical defense and intelligence applications
- Collaborate with defense contractors, DoD agencies, and IC organizations to meet stringent security and compliance requirements
- Lead technical discussions with partner engineers and program officials
- Develop and review architectural artifacts suitable for GovCloud and classified environments
- Ensure solutions meet or exceed DoD cybersecurity standards and IC directives
- Contribute to the development of AWS services tailored for defense and intelligence use cases

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience with AI/ML, HPC, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, or data engineering workloads on AWS
- Familiarity with defense compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD SRG, ITAR)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
