Job Description

Are you ready to step into a role that engages your instincts, insight, and powers of perception in incredibly challenging new ways? Come stand with us as a CBP Officer as we work together to stop the flow of dangerous drugs and people and defend the freedoms we hold dear. Your journey to a fulfilling career as a CBP Officer begins by attending our OFO Virtual Career Expo on June 25, 2026, from 11 AM – 3 PM ET.

Make a difference in your community while serving your nation and protecting what's most important to you. We're looking for entry-level applicants, recent grads, and experienced law enforcement personnel.

This event will feature the positions currently open within CBP’s Office of Field Operations, including:

- Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO)

- Supervisory CBPO (Field Programs)

- CBPO Program Manager

- Mission Support Specialist

REGISTER TODAY by clicking on the Apply button on this site. Complete your registration and receive a confirmation email with a link to add our event to your digital calendar.

The event lobby will open on June 23, so you can browse videos, booth content, application links, FAQs, and other resources. Visit our online information guide to start preparing for the event.

Our OFO Virtual Career Expo is an informational recruitment event; no interviews will be held, and no job offers will be made. You may enter the Expo to attend any of our live webinar broadcasts and browse the booths. However, the first two hours of the event will likely be the busiest, so you may want to wait until later in the day to sign up for a one-to-one chat with a recruiter.

Prepare for our virtual recruiting event just as you would for an in-person event:

- Update your two-page resume and upload it to your profile on the event platform.

- Learn about the Office of Field Operations at https://careers.cbp.gov/s/career-paths/ofo

- Make a list of questions: Each booth has a discussion feed where you can post a question. Recruiters will monitor these public message boards and respond.

Stay in touch with us! When you complete your registration, you'll be added to our Talent Network. Each month, you'll receive our Events and Opportunities newsletter, which contains the most recent webinar and career event information and locations where our recruiters will be available in person at various events.

About Us
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the world’s largest law enforcement organization. From patrolling our oceans to screening cargo as it enters our country, we work to make a difference for America – for every person and every mile of it. Our frontline team is made up of three components: U.S. Border Patrol, Air and Marine Operations, and Office of Field Operations. All three components work with Mission Operations – a team of civilians dedicated to providing backend assistance, expertise, and guidance. CBP offers competitive salaries and federal benefits, and has a hiring process that typically takes between 3 to 12 months, but can be streamlined for qualifying veterans. Are you ready to start your journey?
