Job Description
SHC Federal is seeking a highly motivated 100% Remote Test Engineer to support our client in the federal contracting space. This position has the exciting opportunity to support quality assurance and automation testing initiatives within a dynamic, Agile environment. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
• 3+ years familiarity with Agile Methodologies and Kanban Framework
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices
• 3+ years experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Acceptance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases
• Proficiency with open-source automation tools (Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber, Gherkin)
• Experience with scripting in one or more languages (UNIX based scripting, Python)
• Experience with SCM solutions such as GitLab, Artifactory
Desired:
• Proficiency with Java programming language
• Familiarity with LoadRunner, Amazon Cloud Services, HTML, XML, ServiceNow
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with testers and developers to ensure quality and security in solutions and production releases
• Conduct functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing
• Lead the creation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and configure testing frameworks
• Coordinate testing of software defects, enhancements, and upgrades with users and application teams
• Support system, integration, IV&V, and user acceptance testing events
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI Planning
• Provide recommendations regarding CI/CD improvements and automated testing best practices
The hourly/base pay range for this position is $45-50 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
