Job Description
Responsibilities
Serve as focal point and SME for ATH, OTM, and SATCOM tactical networks under PdM Network Modernization.
Identify, report, and recommend resolutions for problems and discrepancies to PM or functional managers.
Manage and document system configurations, incidents, test procedures, and test results.
Configure, validate, and test tactical network systems delivered to units.
Exercise technical leadership to align actions, schedules, and resolve conflicting viewpoints.
Coordinate system development and integration tasks with system engineering leads.
Provide systems engineering oversight for SATCOM systems, baseband networking, and software development.
Coordinate across embedded support teams to implement plans that meet PM objectives.
Represent PM Tactical Network at planning conferences with units and partner organizations.
Develop and present briefings on systems engineering, network architecture planning, and testing status.
Support network planning, setup, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and teardown.
Collaborate with unit CFSRs, S6 staff, and other personnel to coordinate activities.
Experience Requirements
Eight or more years of related tactical network engineering experience. Fifteen or more years accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Proven experience designing, integrating, and maintaining tactical and strategic communication networks in military environments.
Track record delivering high-quality network engineering solutions.
Desired: Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Mail, Active Directory, SharePoint, and related user services.
Desired: Experience with PdM Network Modernization products and prior industry or military engineering roles.
Special requirements: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as mission requires. Occasional travel.
Mandatory: Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Testing, or related field. Degree may be substituted with seven additional years of related experience.
