Note: This is a fully on-site role (no remote work) due to program requirements.
Overview
Our customer is seeking a Staff-level Systems Architect to support the Sentinel program within a classified environment. This role focuses on Windows infrastructure, virtualization, and storage architecture supporting a secure software development ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and administer virtualization and storage platforms (e.g., VMware, SAN)
• Manage enterprise Windows environments (AD, LDAP, patching, system administration)
• Support hypervisors, VDI, backups, and infrastructure operations
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, systems, and user environments
• Maintain system security, compliance, audit logs, and backups
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, program stakeholders)
• Operate independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree + 12 years (or Master’s + 9 years) of relevant experience (or high school diploma + 16 years experience)
• Active DoD Secret clearance (must be eligible for Top Secret + SAP)
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE or higher)
• Experience with:
○ Virtualization and storage architecture
○ Enterprise Windows environments
○ Infrastructure administration (patching, backups, system performance)
Preferred Qualifications
• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with:
○ VMware (vCenter, ESXi) and VDI (Horizon, Hyper-V)
○ Containerized environments
○ Information security frameworks (RMF, STIG, JSIG, ICD 503)
○ SAN storage (NetApp, etc.) and backup tools (Cohesity, PPDM)
