As a Business Management Director, your role at McLean, VA will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Ready to join forces with our visionary team?

Our Business Management Director will have multiple responsibilities for all Program Finance and Controls, Earned Value Management and Profit & Loss within multiple Operating Units for the company. You will be responsible for business management strategy and execution and will operate in an environment that is characterized by frequently changing priorities. You will help with the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) / Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP), and revenue/cash forecasting while supporting various close cycles. Our Business Management Director will also support various compliance requirements such as SOX Compliance, internal and external audit activities and company compliance/

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In this job, you will:
  • Partner with multiple functions and senior leadership to provide relevant, accurate and timely financial data
  • Create, develop, present and defend complex What If / Excursion analysis to all levels of management
  • Utilize Earned Value Management techniques to manage baseline efforts and monthly EV cycles, coordinating with the PMO and Scheduling teams
  • Develop and motivate a large staff, focusing on continuous process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of professional experience including people management experience - OR - Master's degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
  • Business Management experience
  • Ability to travel, up to 10% of the time, as needed, per business needs


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA / MBA
  • Experience working as a government contractor with exposure to EAC management, EVMS, OH rate management and strong understanding of revenue recognition'
  • Experience with Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities
  • Costpoint, COBRA and MS Project proficiency
  • Understanding of underlying government procurement regulations, including FAR and CAS

  • Financial leadership and analytical skills
  • Experience presenting financial information to all levels of an organization

Primary Level Salary Range: $185,400.00 - $278,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
