As an ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) Quality Engineer, you will be operating as a Production Quality Engineering on the Orion Manned Space Flight program at Kennedy Space Center, Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Facility. As a Production Quality Engineer, you will work with the Quality Engineering team to develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for the Orion Spacecraft.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in technical disciplines (e.g. engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g. math, physics, chemistry, etc.) anything else related.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

• Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance and US Citizenship required.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Manufacturing or Quality engineering position

• The ability to work an evolving shift schedule that will include weekend and off-shift hours, as required to support program objectives.

• Knowledge of Quality Systems and Processes

• Ability to develop performance metrics using Microsoft Excel and take appropriate action

• Demonstrated knowledge of non-conformance handling and disposition.

• Experience with human spaceflight NASA/DCMA customers

• Experience with working in an Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) and Production environment

• Experience in Design/Test Readiness/Manufacturing Readiness Reviews

• Certified in lean, six-sigma quality engineering methodologies and root cause corrective action training/certification

• Knowledge of SAP operating systems, Automation Framework, EPDM, P2P, and VECAMS

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and/ or technical specifications.

• ASQE certified

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
