Job Description
Senior Data Lead will be responsible for designing and executing data migration strategies for USPS Maximo implementations. Reviews source system architecture and data, identifies required data elements, and develops migration plans. Creates custom migration objects and workflows to import and validate data. Oversees transformation of historical data and ensures alignment with project timelines and dependencies. Supports database performance, integrity, and compliance across multiple platforms and environments. Must be able to work without direct input from government staff, while ensuring that outcomes are aligned with the government's vision, mission, and objectives. Technical skills, programming expertise, and knowledge of Maximo data structures are a given.
Task Description:
• Monitor data migration workstreams and coordinate activities with project team (10%)
• Lead data analysis (25%)
• Develop data migration strategies (25%)
• Create data migration objects (10%)
• Execute data migration (10%)
• Quality reviews (20%)
*This position will require up to 25% travel
Skills & Requirements
Required skills/Level of Experience :
• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering Applied Mathematics or other technical or mathematical fields with 5 years of experience in federal or OR
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering Applied Mathematics or other technical or mathematical fields with 10 years of experience in federal federal OR
• 10+ years of experience with Data and Optimization program definition and execution across multiple industries
• 5+ years of experience with data governance and implementing data management standards across large-scale projects and organizations
Nice to have skills:
• Experience with Cloud Environments (AWS, IBM Cloud)
• Prior Experience with USPS
• Certified Maximo Deployment Professional
o Understanding of IBM Maximo application, functionalities, and configuration options
o Experience with Maximo custom object creation and workflow design
• Certified Safe Agile Architect
• Experience serving as Task Leader or technical liaison
