HX5 is currently seeking a Software Intern to join our team in Brook Park, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will augment the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design and development of a data processing tool capable of importing data over various file formats into MATLAB. The tool output will be layouts for harnesses containing connectors, individual wires/signals, cabling, source, and termination information. They will also support data, design, and documentation reviews.

- Background in data analysis using Excel and MATLAB
- Experience with document processing (PDF / JPEG) using MATLAB to extract information
- Experience with C# code generation and integration of MATLAB executables
- Experience generating technical documents
Other Desired Skills:
- Communicate technical information via report writing and digital presentations
- Familiar with:
- General Electrical Engineering
- Microprocessor function and coding
Education and Experience:
Highschool or equivalent
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
