Army Business Development Executive
Remote | Secret Clearance | 25–30% Travel
Salary: $150,000–$170,000 + Commission
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Army Business Development Executive to support a growing federal contractor's Army growth organization. This individual will be responsible for identifying, capturing, and winning new business opportunities across the Department of the Army while driving strategic growth initiatives and expanding customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and capture new Army opportunities.
Develop and execute account and growth strategies across Army customers and programs.
Build relationships with Army stakeholders, acquisition personnel, and industry partners.
Lead capture efforts from opportunity identification through contract award.
Develop win strategies, teaming approaches, competitive assessments, and capture plans.
Manage and report on pipeline activity to executive leadership.
Coordinate with proposal, operations, and leadership teams throughout the business development lifecycle.
Support contract vehicle positioning and growth initiatives.
Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of Army and/or federal business development experience.
Active Secret Clearance
Proven success identifying and winning Army opportunities.
Track record of winning federal contracts valued between $10M–$40M.
Strong understanding of Army acquisition and procurement processes.
Existing relationships within Army commands, program offices, and leadership organizations.
Experience leading capture efforts and developing successful growth strategies.
Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Army military service.
Experience supporting mid-sized federal contractors.
Familiarity with ITES, OASIS, MAS, SeaPort, or similar contract vehicles.
Experience developing teaming partnerships and subcontractor relationships.
Knowledge of Army modernization efforts and emerging mission priorities.
