About the Role:

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support an upcoming federal government contract. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with excellent communication abilities and can translate complex business requirements into actionable insights and recommendations.

Location: Washington, D.C. (Candidates must reside in D.C., Virginia, or Maryland) - Hybrid: On-site 1 day per week

Clearance Requirements:
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
  • USA Citizenship is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust

Responsibilities:
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Create and manage user acceptance test (UAT) plans and coordinate testing activities with end-users.
  • Utilize Microsoft Visio to design and communicate process models and workflows.
  • Leverage macros and other automation tools to streamline data analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to support business decisions.
  • Map and evaluate current business processes and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business teams to implement solutions.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions.
  • Create functional specifications, business cases, and process documentation.
  • Monitor project outcomes and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business analysis within a professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing and coordinating UAT activities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio for process mapping and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA).
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, or enterprise software systems.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
