@Orchard LLC has an immediate need for an experienced Fire Control Technician to support a contract with the US Navy, located in Port Hueneme, CA. You will be providing technical support to the NATO SEASPARROW Surface Missile System (NSSMS) Mk 57. The Mk 57 NATO Sea Sparrow is a medium-range, rapid-reaction missile weapon system that provides the capability to destroy hostile aircraft, anti-ship missiles, and airborne and surface-to-air missile platforms with surface-to-air missiles.


As the Fire Control Technician, you will:

• Conduct research and comprehensive design studies into the development, acquisition, and in-service engineering for assigned equipment.


• Evaluate performance specifically related to hardware reliability, operation, performance, and maintainability problems, as well as proposed design changes, advanced development changes, or system improvements that were not specifically identified but could result in changes to the system.


• Utilize knowledge of research and developmental activities and technological advances to incorporate them into the assigned projects.


• Apply reliability and maintainability techniques during design studies, such as Failure modes and effects analysis, stress analysis, fault tree analysis, and reliability modeling for trade-off evaluations.


• Generate reports to identify findings, including the thorough evaluation of the various alternatives considered and the reason for the recommendation, which could be in the form of ECPs, MRCs, ORDALTs, TRS, or other associated documentation.


• Prepare, modify, review, and update technical documentation relative to all phases of lifecycle support.
