Job Description:
The selected individuals will work within Airplane Avionics Systems engineering teams and interface with design engineering teams and other organizations supporting development of Avionics systems for commercial aircraft systems design. Airplane Systems work spans the full range of the aircraft lifecycle: initial concept studies, development, certification, continuous improvement in production, and ongoing support for the duration of their service life.
Depending upon candidate experience, position responsibilities may include:
Preparing data showing compliance with airworthiness regulations while working on E-UM expansion.
Once becoming a E-UM, finding compliance with the appropriate airworthiness regulations and issue FAA Form 8100-9.
Support ODA and Certification management by tracking and reporting project status.
Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
Provide technical quality review of the development of system requirements and definition of system architecture, and the resulting designs.
Support the development of hardware and software designs and associated interface specifications to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Review analysis of system performance through modeling and simulation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Support and provide oversight of development, verification, validation, and certification of designs through both laboratory and airplane testing.
Continuously monitor and update designs to ensure compliance and incorporate new technologies and industry advancements.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in airplane system engineering and FAA regulations.
Represent the company and communicate with customers and FAA / EASA officials regarding Avionics design, development, and approval.
Mentor and train junior engineers on FAA / EASA regulatory requirements and design processes.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the design and development of Avionics systems.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
