The Work

The Cloud Solutions Architect III is responsible for leading and advancing the organization's cloud computing initiatives and for directing the architectural aspects of a cloud brokering team across all aspects of IT and the business. This senior role is accountable for the planning, design, and engineering of the organization's multi-cloud infrastructure and cloud-native applications, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant delivery of services in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of multi-cloud architectures across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support enterprise data, analytics, and AI workloads.
  • Direct the architectural aspects of a cloud brokering team, guiding solution selection, integration patterns, and standards across IT and business stakeholders.
  • Develop reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices for cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) to ensure consistent, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Align cloud architectural decisions with enterprise strategies, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives, ensuring resiliency, performance, and security.
  • Architect and support enterprise AI and GenAI platforms (e.g., Gemini, Vertex AI) to enable advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and maintain cloud-based data platforms leveraging Blob Storage, Data Lakes, and structured storage systems to support large-scale analytics and AI workloads.
  • Provide hands-on support for data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics workloads in enterprise environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to define data architectures (including ETL/ELT, data mesh, and API integrations) that meet enterprise data standards.
  • Design and implement end-to-end monitoring and observability strategies using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, GCP Cloud Monitoring, and associated logging frameworks.
  • Use Logstash to design and support log ingestion, transformation, and integration with Azure Log Analytics for proactive monitoring and alerting.
  • Define and implement alerting solutions leveraging Twilio (SMS/voice) for ETL failures, platform events, and critical operational notifications.
  • Establish dashboards, KPIs, SLOs/SLIs, and reporting for performance, reliability, usage, and capacity planning across multi-cloud environments.
  • Architect and support integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Secure Agents, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring, connectivity, and integration challenges, working closely with vendors and internal teams to maintain platform stability.
  • Coordinate with application, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure cloud solutions integrate seamlessly with on-premises systems and third-party services.
  • Design and implement robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies based on least-privilege principles across Azure and GCP.
  • Implement and enforce network security controls, audit logging, and hardening standards in alignment with FedRAMP and other regulated environment requirements.
  • Ensure that cloud solutions meet organizational security baselines, compliance mandates, and industry best practices for regulated multi-cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance stakeholders to address audit findings, implement remediations, and maintain continuous compliance.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for cloud platforms, data and AI services, and integration layers, including debugging logs, resolving platform access issues, and addressing complex production incidents.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (RCAs/CPAs) to enhance platform stability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in 24×7 support models as needed, ensuring rapid response, communication, and resolution of critical production issues.
  • Proactively identify risks, capacity constraints, and reliability challenges, driving mitigation plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts involving engineering, data, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to plan and deliver platform initiatives.
  • Translate complex technical concepts and architectural decisions into clear, business-friendly language appropriate for leadership, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Mentor and guide junior architects, engineers, and operations staff, fostering knowledge sharing and adherence to cloud and data standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on cloud, data, and AI platform strategies in steering committees, design reviews, and roadmap sessions.

  • 8+ years of expertise with:
