Material Planner Level 1 - Onsite (Apopka, FL)
About the Role
Join Indotronix as a Material Planner Level 1 and play a critical part in supporting our MRP Planning department onsite in Apopka, Florida. This 13-month contract position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments and are eager to start or advance their careers in material planning and global supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage comprehensive lists of materials, accessories, and parts based on engineering blueprints and design documents
- Examine blueprints to identify part codes, calculate required quantities, and document all material requirements, including contract numbers and special handling instructions
- Submit material lists to the purchasing department for procurement
- Understand customer requirements by reviewing RFPs and related requests
- Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain, Program Management, and Operations Program Management teams to develop and execute procurement strategies
- Monitor and ensure adherence to delivery schedules and coordinate with schedulers for timely processing
- Prepare shop work orders and maintain accurate progress reports, schedules, and related records
- Maintain material planning records, reorder points, and consumption data for ongoing operations
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in Material Planning, Global Supply Chain, or Material Handling
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
- Proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOM) management and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in Material Planning or Supply Chain
- Experience with manufacturing specifications and technical drawings
- Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and SAP MRP
