Position title : Mission Command Fundamentals (MCF) Course Director

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Act as the lead for providing course content and ensuring continuity across all iterations of the Mission Command Fundamentals Course (MCFC).
- Oversee the planning and execution of up to two MCFC iterations per fiscal year.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of all course curriculum documents in accordance with NAVEDTRA 130 series standards, including the Training Project Plan (TPP), Lesson Plans (LPs), and Trainee Guides (TGs).
- Identify, vet, and coordinate with up to 12 content speakers, subject matter experts, and academics for each course to ensure instruction remains relevant and impactful.
- Manage the development and execution of the multi-day capstone exercise, to include scenarios based on Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR), civilian-military maritime incidents, and military-military hostile acts.
- Manage contractor personnel and the day-to-day conduct of the course in accordance with the lesson plan and course schedule.
- Develop, prepare, and provide all necessary course materials for students and instructors.
- Author and submit a comprehensive After-Action Report (AAR) to the government following the completion of each course iteration.
- Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the annual course review to provide recommendations for curriculum updates and improvements.
Qualifications
- Must possess extensive experience in curriculum development and management in accordance with Navy Educational Training (NAVEDTRA) standards.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and instructing in a formal training environment, preferably with senior international military students (O-3 to O-6).
- Deep, demonstrable understanding of Mission Command philosophy, Joint/Combined Operational Planning, the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), and the Operational Level of War.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractor personnel, course schedules, and curriculum development timelines effectively.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to professionally engage with guest speakers, stakeholders, and senior military leaders.
