Junior Programmer (Secret Clearance)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Junior Programmer to support a long-term enterprise IT and cybersecurity program. This individual will join a Knowledge Management team responsible for developing web-based solutions, reporting tools, and data visualizations that improve operational efficiency and provide leadership with actionable insights. This position is 100% onsite in Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities of the Junior Programmer:

• Develop and maintain web-based applications supporting personnel training, scheduling, permissions, and knowledge management initiatives
• Create customized dashboards, reports, visualizations, and data views to improve operational decision-making
• Design and support solutions utilizing .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Integrate applications with Microsoft SharePoint and Active Directory environments
• Develop reporting, search, audit tracking, and historical event management capabilities
• Support full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Maintain application documentation and follow enterprise development best practices
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement enhancements to improve functionality and user experience
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to develop customized business solutions
• Support data management, reporting automation, and workflow optimization initiatives

Qualifications of the Junior Programmer:

• 2+ years of professional IT or software development experience
• Experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience working with SQL Server and database-driven applications
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint environments and integrations
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Required Qualifications:

• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Experience with SQL, SharePoint, and JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government environments
• Knowledge of Active Directory integrations and user access management
• Experience developing enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions
• Familiarity with Knowledge Management practices and business process automation

Compensation for the Junior Programmer:

• Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 (depending on experience)
