Location: Englewood or Littleton, CO (Onsite Only)
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off); onsite full-time, no teleworking
Pay: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 – $123,625; for states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Final offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market and business factors.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is for an Electrical/Test Engineer II on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program, joining the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team. You will support the LE2 program’s Electrical Ground Support Equipment, using your electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future of FBM test systems while working onsite near the Littleton/Englewood space facility on a flexible 9x80 schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test, and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment supporting the U.S. Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program.
Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of automated test systems, including data review and trending.
Develop hardware requirements from the subsystem level down to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to provide cost?effective, low?risk solutions.
Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors, and customers.
Create and update project and process documentation that aligns with project requirements.
Support Failure Review Board activities as required through closure.
Mentor junior engineers and interface extensively with customers and senior leadership.
Travel and work at alternate work sites as required (less than 25%).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Hardware development experience.
Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar systems.
Experience in one or more of the following tools: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, PSPICE.
Experience in one or more of the following programming languages for quick?turn applications: LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#.
At least 1+ years of professional experience.
Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience leading project teams and development efforts.
Experience with the full product lifecycle (development, deployment, retirement).
Experience with issue tracking tools and processes.
Ability to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrated test systems, serving as a subject matter engineer or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate small, diverse teams in the development of technical products.
Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentation.
Experience troubleshooting complex systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
