Mumps Technical Business Analyst

Remote / United States

Blu Omega is seeking a Mumps Technical Business Analyst to support a federal healthcare client. This role operates within VistA/MUMPS environments and is responsible for validating AI-assisted analysis and documenting accurate findings within healthcare data systems. The position requires experience supporting VistA and MUMPS-based healthcare systems in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools and pre-built scripts to query and analyze VistA/MUMPS environments.
  • Review and validate AI-generated results against VistA/MUMPS system knowledge and business requirements.
  • Analyze spreadsheets, reports, and extracted data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues.
  • Document findings, recommendations, and validation results in a clear and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to verify data accuracy and system behavior.
  • Support data analysis, system assessments, and modernization initiatives involving legacy healthcare systems.
  • Assist in developing and refining processes for AI-assisted system analysis and documentation.
  • Maintain detailed records of findings, decisions, and validation activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience working with VistA and MUMPS-based healthcare systems.
  • Strong understanding of VistA data structures, workflows, and system functionality.
  • Ability to interpret and validate information generated from automated or AI-assisted analysis tools.
  • Experience analyzing data and documenting technical findings.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience analyzing data using Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet-based analysis tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analysis tools and workflows.
  • Experience using GitHub and Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience validating data migrations, system inventories, or application modernization efforts.
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and data management practices.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

Compensation

Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
