Responsibilities
- Analyze Medicare claims and enrollment data to support Medicare and Medicaid payment model work
- Develop and verify analysis parameters, prepare documentation, and write efficient, high-quality code
- Use SQL, Python, R, and statistical methodologies to deliver actionable insights
- Collaborate with teams to convey complex analyses clearly and support policy and financial decision-making
- Maintain high standards for data accuracy and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in health analytics, research, consulting, or a similar environment
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis
- Experience working with healthcare claims and enrollment data within large data warehouse environments
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data structures, patient attribution concepts, and claims data
- Ability to develop and verify analysis parameters, prepare detailed documentation, and write efficient, high-quality code
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic coursework in statistics or econometric modeling
- Experience conducting statistical analyses to inform health policy decisions
- Familiarity with complex healthcare databases such as the Integrated Data Repository or Chronic Conditions Warehouse
- Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid payment methodologies
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VBA) or Tableau and other data visualization tools
- Experience using artificial intelligence to support work
- Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, or Public Policy
- Extensive hands-on experience with large healthcare datasets and statistical modeling
- Proven track record of delivering actionable insights to influence health policy and payment models
Compensation
Salary Range: $92,000 - $114,000
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
